mid-term exam will be passed out at the
end of today's class. Read the top part very closely, and pay attention to the "rules".
(24 Feb) If you are available Thursday, 27 Feb from 1050-1210, please meet the other
Energy class in room 303 RHSC. They will be going over to the Central Energy Facility on
campus for a tour. I will be out of town, but our Physics Lab Manager will be leading
the tour.
(19 Feb) There will be no class meeting next Wednesday, 26 Feb. This class would normally be
devoted to the Mid-Term Exam, but we will be having a take-home exam instead.
(31 Jan) David
shared this link
with us. It has some interesting photos of the air in China. A few
of the photos allow you to click to see with and without haze/pollution.
(30 Jan) Feel free to drop into room 303 Thursday afternoon, 31 January (after 4:15) to join the
undergraduate Energy Production students and the director of CofC's Office of Sustainability
as we discuss campus efforts related to Energy.
(30 Jan) Here is the announcement about the Electric Car event that I mentioned
in class today:
Sharing the EV Grin:
On Thursday, January 31st at 6:00 pm, the Coastal Conservation League, Plug In Carolina,
Growfood Carolina, and the Lowcountry Plugin Drivers will host an electric vehicle event
in downtown Charleston. The event will have electric vehicles on display and drivers
will explain the meaning of the "EV Grin", the smile virtually everyone gets when they
drive an electric car for the first time. The event will take place at the GrowFood
Carolina warehouse at 990 Morrison Drive. Vehicle display, beer from a local brewery
and light refreshments will begin at 6:00 pm and an interactive presentation will start
at 6:40 pm. Please join us for this fun event.
Questions may be directed to Jim Poch at jpoch@plugincarolina.org or (843) 743-6736.
(23 Jan) Please look over your homework after our discussion in class on Wednesday; turn it in
next Monday.

already know about the home page, the link to
the syllabus, and the

which contains links to summaries of each lecture. Check this page out
